Cruise the Issaquah Highlands with Neighborhood Walking Ambassador Chantal Stevens!

The Highlands were designed as an urban village and a place to live, work and play. We’ll test the Highlands’ walkability and accessibility while exploring some of its main commercial and residential centers. Starting from the Park & Ride, we’ll use sidewalks, paved and unpaved trails, and stairs to view residential areas, LEED certified green buildings, mixed-use developments, storm water ponds, and the new commercial center.

We’ll go at a leisurely pace, but there are a couple of good hills and some stairs. The walk will be child-friendly, and stairs are avoidable, making it ADA and stroller accessible. We’ll go three miles, which should take about an hour and a half.

The walk is a loop beginning and ending under the bus shelter on the West side of the Issaquah Highlands Park and Ride. Participants will be invited to grab some coffee and/or ice cream during the walk.
