Hike Worcester! Southwick Pond and Muir Meadow

Details
A beautiful walk on a Friday morning! Fall is in the air.
We will start at the trailhead on Walbridge Road and do a loop, with a little detour across Muir Meadow. About 2 miles. Right now, weather says partly sunny and low 70s. Please wear sturdy shoes, wear layers and bring water and a snack. I always use hiking poles.
We leave on time. PLEASE text me if you are delayed.
Southwick Pond is a special place. The trail begins in a diverse woodland with log bridges passing over wetlands of Jack-in-the-pulpits and huge ferns. This is a great place to look for red efts and northern two-lined salamanders. The views of the pond are spectacular as well, featuring brilliant foliage in the fall and blooming mountain laurel in June. River otters and beavers have been spotted here.
