Walk in Cormier Woods in Uxbridge
Details
Come for a walk in Cormier Woods, part of the Trustees of Reservations properties. There are several loops we can do, depending on our mood and the weather. Currently, it says partly sunny and in the high 50s.
Cormier Woods lies within the Blackstone River Valley National Heritage Corridor, a designated area extending from Worcester to Providence that celebrates the historical and cultural importance of the river, the birthplace of America’s Industrial Revolution. Easy-to-moderate intensity trails wind through open meadow and along stone walls, opening up a quintessential 1800s New England agricultural landscape and small-scale farmstead, replete with an historic house, barn, and a blueberry patch that ripens in late summer.
Dress in layers, wear sturdy shoes and wool socks. Bring water and a snack! I always use hiking poles.

Leashed, well-behaved dogs allowed. Please mention in the comments if you plan to bring your pup.
Hike will go on in cloudy or misty conditions. Sustained rain or otherwise disgusting weather will cancel. Make sure to confirm before heading out.
🐢 Tortoises roam free (and always will!) but alas, MeetUp still charges a fee! If you’d like to contribute, here’s where you can send a donation! Thanks!
