Welcome to The Fellowship of the Western Mysteries meetup group (formerly The Wiccan Fellowship)! Our community is dedicated to providing a supportive space for those interested in Wicca, Paganism, The Western Mysteries, Western Esoteric Traditions, and anything even closely related. Whether you are new to The Craft, have been practicing for years, or know nothing at all and are merely curious, all are welcome to join us for discussions, rituals, workshops, and more. Let's come together to share our experiences, learn from each other, and deepen our spiritual connection with the earth and spiritual energies. Spring Equinox- The Wiccan Fellowship Wheel of the Year Open Ritual!
Tympannum, Prinz-Eugen-Straße 6, 1040, Vienna, ATIn Wicca and other Neo-Pagan traditions the "Wheel of the Year" is central: Eight yearly festivals that echo the seasonal rites of our ancestors.
This month's celebration is SPRING EQUINOX!
The Spring Equinox, also known as Ostara, is a celebration of perfect balance—when day and night stand in equal measure before the light begins to overcome the dark. In Wiccan tradition, this is a moment of potent harmony, a sacred pause between the inward rest of winter and the outward blossoming of spring. Nature is stirring with fresh vitality: buds are breaking open, the air carries warmth, and the pulse of life quickens all around us.
Ostara honors the Goddess in her maiden form, radiant with promise and possibility, and the God as a young, green force, full of vigor and life. Together they dance the cycle of creation. This sabbat is a time of renewal, planting seeds (both literal and spiritual), and committing to the intentions we want to bring to fruition in the months ahead. It’s a celebration of fertility, creativity, and joyful emergence—when we align ourselves with nature’s rhythm and step forward into growth, purpose, and enchantment. 🌸🐣🌿

(Online tickets are non-refundable.)The event and the ritual will be held in English unless otherwise noted. We sometimes do have other groups host rituals, and sometimes they work in other languages. If that is the case it will be noted here.
Doors open at 19:30. Ritual talk-through will start at 20:00 or so and the ritual will start soon after the talk-through. Ritual length varies but the ritual itself should be over by 21:30 to 22:00. Afterwords there will be time for socializing and merrymaking, so plan to stay longer if you're feeling social and you can. If not of course you can go when you wish. :-) There is an open bar on-site. :-)
Attire: Street clothes are fine but try to come dressed as much as possible in a single colour- black and white are best. If you have ritual attire (robes etc.) and would like to wear them, feel free.
Beginners and experienced practioners alike, as well as the merely curious are welcomed. We will explain everything you need to do before the ritual- it's possible (and completely fine) to jump right in.
The environment is friendly and welcoming and newcomers are welcomed! We do a full talk-through before the ritual, explain what the ritual is about and what everyone needs to know and understand, and we'll guide you through the whole thing, so there is really no problem coming if you have no idea what to expect.
