Welcome to The Fellowship of the Western Mysteries meetup group (formerly The Wiccan Fellowship)! Our community is dedicated to providing a supportive space for those interested in Wicca, Paganism, The Western Mysteries, Western Esoteric Traditions, and anything even closely related. Whether you are new to The Craft, have been practicing for years, or know nothing at all and are merely curious, all are welcome to join us for discussions, rituals, workshops, and more. Let's come together to share our experiences, learn from each other, and deepen our spiritual connection with the earth and spiritual energies. Autumn Equinox!- The Wiccan Fellowship Wheel of the Year Open Ritual!
Tympannum, Prinz-Eugen-Straße 6, 1040, Vienna, ATIn Wicca and other Neo-Pagan traditions the "Wheel of the Year" is central: Eight yearly festivals that echo the seasonal rites of our ancestors.
This month's celebration is AUTUMN EQUINOX!
The Autumn Equinox, also known as Mabon, is a sacred moment of balance and thanksgiving. Day and night stand equal, just as at the Spring Equinox—but now the light yields to the dark, and the earth prepares for rest. The second of the three harvest festivals, Mabon marks the gathering of the last fruits of summer, a time of reaping what has been sown, both materially and spiritually.
In Wiccan tradition, this is a time of gratitude, reflection, and preparation. The God, now in his elder aspect, retreats into the land, and the Goddess begins her transformation into the Crone—wise, mysterious, and inwardly radiant. As we gather in what the season has given us, we also turn inward, taking stock of our journey, honoring both what has come to fruition and what is passing away.
Mabon teaches us the sacred beauty of letting go—of releasing what no longer serves, and trusting in the rhythm of the earth’s turning. It is a time to give thanks, to honor the cycles, and to find harmony within change. As the leaves begin to fall, we are reminded that surrender, too, is sacred. 🍁🍇🌙

(Online tickets are non-refundable.)The event and the ritual will be held in English unless otherwise noted. We sometimes do have other groups host rituals, and sometimes they work in other languages. If that is the case it will be noted here.
Doors open at 19:30. Ritual talk-through will start at 20:00 or so and the ritual will start soon after the talk-through. Ritual length varies but the ritual itself should be over by 21:30 to 22:00. Afterwords there will be time for socializing and merrymaking, so plan to stay longer if you're feeling social and you can. If not of course you can go when you wish. :-) There is an open bar on-site. :-)
Attire: Street clothes are fine but try to come dressed as much as possible in a single colour- black and white are best. If you have ritual attire (robes etc.) and would like to wear them, feel free.
Beginners and experienced practioners alike, as well as the merely curious are welcomed. We will explain everything you need to do before the ritual- it's possible (and completely fine) to jump right in.
The environment is friendly and welcoming and newcomers are welcomed! We do a full talk-through before the ritual, explain what the ritual is about and what everyone needs to know and understand, and we'll guide you through the whole thing, so there is really no problem coming if you have no idea what to expect.
