Welcome to the Frankfurt Expat Drinks Group with a new more suitable name change for 2025! An English language focused social meetup group for the "after work" crowd in the Frankfurt area. Run by expats for expats. FREE ENTRY AND MEMBERSHIP!
Location - Always central Frankfurt in a nice bar with easy access to public transport, check events tab.
Theme - Nice chat with new or recent friends from different countries.
Time - Friday from 8.30pm.

We also don’t charge any fees for entry or membership and never have done as we operate a not for profit model, as opposed to the other groups that are run by local unscrupulous businessmen! We don’t believe it is appropriate to tax people to make friends in a newly relocated country.
Frankfurt Expat Drinks Group is organised by local expat volunteers and we visit a bar for drinks most Fridays. We are a group in Frankfurt that consistently has a weekly drinks meetup on Friday night in different locations. You only pay for your drinks.
If ever in doubt in a bar on how to find us, ask the bar management as they will know which is our reservation. We always make a reservation of an area or a couple of tables and the group is well known with many venues locally.
We welcome all nationalities and generally try and make sure everyone feels welcome at our drinks meetups.
On account of our rapidly growing numbers and things we learned over the years from other groups, we had to introduce some basic common sense ground rules (mentioned below) to enhance the experience for everyone.
A safe and comfortable environment for all is the community standard. Therefore anyone making unwanted advances to others will not be welcomed back.
We try and operate a "pay as you go" policy when it comes to buying drinks in the venues we attend, this is to avoid confusing large tabs at the end of the night. Please be mindful of this and keep on top of any outstanding drink purchases.
We also encourage people to organise other events and contribute on group wall.
We do have a few exceptions to posting on the wall for the greater good of the group:
1/. No posts for financial gain/business opportunities (unless for charity), except for a flat for rent, job opportunities, moving sale or perhaps something useful to another member.
2/. No sales lead hunters are welcome and if found out will be removed immediately from the group and asked to leave any event.
3/. No flyers/posts for competing events (see point 1).
4/. No flyers/posts against the fundamental purpose of the group, i.e. no competitive posts for other drinks events on Friday night
