Calling all crafters! If you love working with precious fiber and fabrics and cherishing the bonds formed with fellow crafters, Fiber Friends Studios' Meetup is the perfect place! Join us for an inspiring gathering where you can forge new friendships, enhance your skills, and share your creative ideas. Each Meetup is hosted at a local cafe, where you'll enjoy good food while supporting our community's restaurants and coffee shops. Come stitch, chat, and create lasting memories with us!
Members support local charity projects, including Knitted Knocker, which knits and crochets breast prostheses for women who have undergone mastectomies. During Chicago winters, they "Warm-up Hyde Park" by knitting hats, scarves, and gloves to leave throughout the neighborhood for anyone in need to take. We actively participate in Knit for Foods' annual fund-raising event.

In this three-hour class, you'll learn how to hold the yarn and hook and create a simple granny square using the chain 4 method and double crochet. You'll also understand how to change colors and finish the square. This class is designed to be engaging and enjoyable, making it a family-friendly experience for children and adults alike!
Cost: $45. All materials are provided—enough yarn for two granny squares, a crochet hook, and a darning needle.
