About us
Calling all crafters! If you love working with precious fiber and fabrics and cherishing the bonds formed with fellow crafters, Fiber Friends Studios' Meetup is the perfect place! Join us for an inspiring gathering where you can forge new friendships, enhance your skills, and share your creative ideas. Each Meetup is hosted at a local cafe, where you'll enjoy good food while supporting our community's restaurants and coffee shops. Come stitch, chat, and create lasting memories with us!
Members support local charity projects, including Knitted Knocker, which knits and crochets breast prostheses for women who have undergone mastectomies. During Chicago winters, they "Warm-up Hyde Park" by knitting hats, scarves, and gloves to leave throughout the neighborhood for anyone in need to take. We actively participate in Knit for Foods' annual fund-raising event.

Knit for Food Knit-athon
Knit for Food is a marathon event focused on knitting, crocheting, and crafting to raise funds and increase awareness about food insecurity. The money collected will be distributed equally among Feeding America, World Central Kitchen, No Kid Hungry, and Meals on Wheels. Please use street parking for this event.
Our goal is to raise $2,500. Donate to the Fiber Friends Studios team
Millions of people struggle with hunger and lack access to nutritious meals, which can profoundly impact their health and well-being. By participating in crafting and raising funds, individuals not only support organizations that deliver essential aid but also raise awareness of this issue, inspiring others to get involved.
