Hosted by Committed Knitters, Fiber Friends Studios, and UChicago Arts & Public Life (APL), this event features a diverse lineup of activities:

  • The Juneteenth celebration will feature inspiring speakers, live music, and a vibrant slideshow highlighting the holiday's significance.
  • Hands-on knitting and crochet instruction station
  • APL will provide lunch for all attendees, sourced from a Black-owned vendor, along with supply tents and tables for comfort and convenience.
  • In case of inclement weather, the event will be relocated to the Green Line Building next door.

APL is recruiting handmade vendors and will provide tables. Please reach out for more information.
