Saturday morning crafting over breakfast at Chile Toreado, a family-owned Mexican restaurant in McKinley Park.

Bring whatever you're working on. Bring an appetite too — this one is a sit-down breakfast rather than a coffee, and the chef's weekend specials are worth asking about.

One thing to know: Chile Toreado opens at 10, which is when we start. Don't come early, there's nowhere to wait.

Getting there: plenty of street parking. Close to the Orange Line, and the 35th Street and Archer Avenue buses both run nearby.
