Meetup has increased prices significantly. Please consider making a donation, just give me some change at the next meetup. I will stop asking for money once we have reached 120€ for the next year. So far we have collected 0€ (yes I have been lazy). But don't feel pressured to donate if you can't afford it.
Chloé Zhao is probably my favourite female movie director at the moment! Or is it Céline Sciamma? I guess you couldn't care less. But her latest film "Hamnet" has been nominated for eight Academy Awards. Well, this time I couldn't care less. But her strong record of films speaks for itself - Nomadland, The Rider, Songs My Brothers Taught Me...
Let's stop right here and just see for ourselves, on March 10!
"From Academy Award® winning writer/director Chloé Zhao, Hamnet tells the powerful story of love and loss that inspired the creation of Shakespeare’s timeless masterpiece, Hamlet." https://www.hamnetmovie.ca/synopsis/
We will meet at 7:00 p.m. in the foyer of the LVR Landesmuseum to get to know each other and chat. Based on past experience, we will enter the auditorium by 7:20 p.m. at the latest. The film will begin at 7:30 p.m. Runtime is 126 minutes.
You can't buy tickets online yet. I will buy the ticket at the venue on the day of the event anyway, as they are not seat reservations, and it's unlikely to sell out.
After that, we can go for a drink in DelikArt or Salönchen.
