All We Imagine As Light // hindi/malayalam with german subtitles

Meetup has increased prices significantly. Please consider making a donation via Paypal or give me some change at the next meetup. I will stop asking for money once we have reached 120€ for the next year. So far we have collected 50€. But don't feel pressured to donate if you can't afford it.

This year I would like to offer more films by female directors. All We Imagine as Light, directed by Payal Kapadia, is a poetic story of disconnection and the human need for love, belonging, and connection. Set in Mumbai, where Kapdia grew up herself, the story follows two nurses, Prabha and Anu, as they navigate pivotal moments in their lives and the complexities of their relationships. I assume the subtitles will be german.

We will meet at 7:00 p.m. in the foyer of the LVR Landesmuseum to get to know each other and chat. Based on past experience, we will enter the auditorium by 7:20 p.m. at the latest. The film will begin at 7:30 p.m.

You can't buy tickets online yet. I will buy the ticket at the venue on the day of the event anyway, as they are not seat reservations, and it's unlikely to sell out.

After that, we can go for a drink in DelikArt or the Salönchen.

It's not a socialising or even a dating event, although we often get together for a drink after the movie. To be more specific, the Berlin Code of Conduct applies. Although I'm not aware of any violations in the past, please speak up if you didn't feel safe, and I will take action.
