Financial Independence Ireland - Limerick

Come along to our next informal meet up at the Connacht Hotel, Old Dublin Rd, Galway, H91 K5DD on Wednesday the 21st of October

The meet up will be of an informal / causal nature, with an opportunity to meet new and old members. Anyone is welcome - whether you are new to FIRE or already retired.

The bar will be open, so come along and talk financial independence with like minded people.

We will host a special online meet-up with Brian Herriot, author of Time Freedom: Rethink Your Work and Money to Create a Life You Love Now.

Brian is an author, speaker, financial advisor and former management consultant who writes about the intersection between money, work and how we spend our time. His philosophy of “time freedom” challenges the idea that we necessarily need to wait until we are fully financially independent or retired before we can start designing a life with more freedom and flexibility.

Brian reached what he describes as time freedom in his 40s, gradually moving away from the conventional career path and building a working life where he has much greater control over how, when and with whom he works.

During the meet-up, we’ll chat with Brian about the ideas behind Time Freedom, how it differs from traditional FIRE, and how we can start using money to create more freedom in our lives today rather than someday. There will also be plenty of opportunity to ask Brian questions and join the discussion.

Everyone is welcome to attend, whether you are based in Limerick or anywhere else!

Join us for a weekend of conversations, ideas and practical workshops on financial independence and personal finance, with plenty of time to meet others on a similar journey.
Tickets are now on sale, and I’m delighted to share the people confirmed so far.

Across the two days, you can expect a mix of presentations, workshops, panel discussions, a live podcast recording, breakout sessions and informal time to chat.

## Tickets - €250 per person

Your ticket includes attendance on both days, plus:

• A three-course dinner on Saturday evening
• A light lunch on Saturday and Sunday
• Tea, coffee and scones on both days

## Staying for the weekend

Accommodation is booked separately and is not included in the ticket price. Rooms have been held for our group at the Castleoaks Hotel at the following rates, including breakfast:

• €140 per room, per night for two people sharing
• €120 per room, per night for single occupancy

There may also be lower-cost accommodation options nearby, which we can explore for anyone interested.
If you’re arriving on Friday, 5 February, we’ll meet for informal drinks at the hotel that evening. The retreat officially begins on Saturday morning.
