This 8-mile hike along the Thames Path weaves through charming villages, historic landmarks, and serene riverscapes. Starting in Marlow, cross the iconic suspension bridge and follow the tranquil river past Hurley, home to the historic Ye Olde Bell Inn.
Pass Temple Lock and the atmospheric ruins of Medmenham Abbey, once a Hellfire Club haunt, before reaching Hambleden Lock, where a scenic weir and the stunning Hambleden Mill await.
The final stretch winds through open meadows and past the Henley Royal Regatta course, leading into Henley-on-Thames with its vibrant riverside pubs and cafés.
With nature, history, and riverside charm, this walk is a true Thames-side escape.

🛤 Terrain: Mostly flat, well-maintained riverside paths with some grassy and woodland sections. It can be muddy after rain.
📈 Difficulty: Easy to moderate – mostly level walking with no steep climbs. Suitable for all fitness levels.

🚶♂️ Navigation: Well-marked Thames Path trail; straightforward to follow.
