Enjoying the Biblical Apocrypha

This is a group that started on Revel, and the goal was to read New Testament Stories. We have done that, and the group made a decision to move forward with the rest of the New Testament, which we completed in exactly one year, reading for an hour each week. We then read the New Testament chronologically, from the New Living Translation. We are now going to the Biblical Apocrypha, which most of us have never read.

You are welcome to join us! The meeting is cultural, not theological. We may point out points of theology if someone notices them, but we will not argue, because we are not theologians. There has been a request to read the Apocrypha next, which appear in the Catholic Bible but not in Protestant Bibles. We will be starting with the book of Tobit, reading from the New Revised Standard Version. You are welcome to use any copy you have. It is also online. You are also welcome to just come and listen.
