Enjoying the Apocryphal and Extra-Canonical Gospels

We are almost finished with the Biblical Apocrypha. Only one more book to go--2 Esdras. When we have completed this last book, we will start a new series on the Noncanonical Gospels, starting with the Signs Gospel. We may include the Gospels of Thomas, Mary, Peter, and others, depending on what is available online. My commitment is to not make anybody buy any books for this. We read all the Apocrypha online. I will try to look mainly at the gospels that were written during the Apostolic period, not the Dark Ages, but if there is a hue and cry we will honor it. We have read the New Testament twice, and the Old Testament once, and are in the process of reading it again in a different meeting. We are now exploring extracanonical literature in this meeting, and then we will go back and read the New Testament again. You are very welcome to join any of our groups at any time.
