I'm taking a break from fitness for a bit. As most of you know, we are in the throes of moving our 12,000 FFF>50 members from Meetup to a new platform called Mighty Networks.

We will resume regular sessions on January 8, and they will be every Wed and Sats at 10:30 a.m. PST.

We'll be moving events from MU to MN over the next weeks and months. Sorry for the mess, but you may have to look at both platforms until all events have moved over.

It's headline news in all the papers, and the source of much NPR programming: resistance exercise—weights, bands, and resistance using your own body against itself (think yoga)—is THE most important thing an older woman can do to stay fit and healthy.

Join us for a quick 20-min workout at whatever your level is. A pair of weights (2 to 5-lb according to your fitness level) and an exercise band are recommended.

I'm not a certified trainer, this isn't a class. I'm not responsible in the unlikely event that you hurt yourself. Listen to your body and pause or stop when it tells you to.
