Let's talk about Blame, Responsibility, and Letting Go.
Details
Within your experience of Estrangement, or in your Emotionally Intense relationship, along the way someone probably did some blaming. Was it you, was it them, or did both of you blame each other? Where are things now, has it shifted, has it become more entrenched?
Blame protects us from pain, and blame can help us mobilize or maintain a boundary. And yet, over time blame may change, maybe soften, maybe deepen or become simply exhausting.
Where are you now? Are you in blame mode? Do you see places where you may hold some responsibility? Are you entrenched, exhausted, conflicted, or beginning to let go?
In this meetup we will explore some questions such as:
- What is your relationship to blame?
- Has it changed over time?
- Is there a difference between blame and accountability?
- What becomes possible when blame loosens, even slightly?
As always, this is a peer-led space with room for open reflection and sharing. Meetings may include a simple grounding practice and a lightly structured topic, while remaining flexible to the needs of those present.
The meeting is online via Zoom. The meeting link will be sent a day before the event to those who RSVP. You'll find the link in your meetup messages.
