About us

Hi! If you're here, you probably didn't get a manual either.

You got promoted because you were good at the work. Then the job changed overnight, and nobody handed you a manual.

This isn't a general leadership group. It's specifically for people navigating that first, disorienting stretch of managing others: the shift from being the one who does the work to being the one who builds a team that can do it without you. If you're new to managing people, or you've been at it a year and still feel like you're improvising half the time, you're in the right place.

We meet in a few different ways. Workshops dig into one specific skill, like delegating or giving feedback that actually lands. Roundtables are looser, a chance to bring whatever's going on and hear how other new managers are handling the same thing.

New here? Say hi in the group. I try to get to know everyone who joins.
