Goodnight, Texas is an American alternative country band known for its close harmonies and unusual instrumentation, often featuring acoustic guitars, banjo, and mandolin. The band was formed by Avi Vinocur and Patrick Dyer, who met in a songwriting class and discovered they lived on the I-80 corridor, equidistant from Goodnight, Texas—hence the band's name.
