How to Buy at the Foreclosure Auction

Details

The foreclosure auction at the courthouse steps is the number one way to find bargain properties. This is true for a couple of reasons:

  1. The sale price is not connected with the property value at all. It’s a reflection of what is owed on the property.
  2. Many of the homes being sold have been well-maintained and need very little in the way of repairs.
But the auction comes with its challenges as well. You are not the only person who knows about it, especially the properties that look like a good deal. Most of the time you be buying properties you haven’t inspected or even seen the inside of. And the biggest hurdle is that in Georgia and a few other states, you have to have cash and pay as soon as you when the bid.

There are incredible opportunities to buy houses during the pre-foreclosure process as well. On this call we will talk about where the opportunities lie, how to find out what’s being sold, how to estimate the real opening bids, what the “day-of” process looks like, and what to do if/when you win a bid. All of this plus your questions.
