Flipside Theatre is happy to present movies for those who like to talk back at the screen! Riff It uses films from the public domain to delight and amuse with three shorts and a feature film. The house will get loud as we enjoy commenting along, throwing in funny lines for the heck of it and in general being amused at bad filming! With options like these, what could go wrong?:
- Stop Driving Me Crazy - could be driver's ed?!
- Duck and Cover - can you ever be too prepared?
- 6 1/2 Magic Hours - you'll have to see it to believe it!
- Feature film: The Terror starring Jack Nicolson and Boris Karloff.
Doors open at 6:30PM. Show starts at 7PM.
$5 online or at the door

MANDATORY CHECK-IN is the only improv comedy show where attendance isn’t just encouraged—it’s required. Clock in for big laughs as Hit N Run (Colorado’s longest-running musical improv ensemble) belts out hilarious story & song, 8 O’Clock Talk from Improv Boulder turns conversation into comedy, and Be Kind Rewind from Flipside Theatre remixes scenes you didn’t know you needed to see again. No script. No excuses. Failure to attend may result in extreme FOMO.

Doors open at 6:30 PM. Show starts at 7 PM.
$12/$15 at the door.

Got a half-baked sketch idea? A weird scene you've been dying to test? Bring it to Piffle Playground at Flipside Theatre!

Drop-in and bring notebooks, laptops, and your wildest ideas. Come for the chaos. Stay for the creativity.

Feel free to bring your lunch. Drinks, popcorn and candy are available for sale at concessions.

This event takes place on the first Sunday of every month. Sketch ideas generated as part of the sketch program may be performed at Flipside Theatre.

Ready to laugh, learn, and unleash your creativity? This six-week Level 1 Short-Form Improv Comedy class is the perfect introduction to the art of improvisation. Whether you’re looking to build confidence, sharpen your wit, or just have a blast, this class is designed for everyone—no experience necessary.

Through fun and interactive games and exercises, you’ll learn the core principles of improv: embracing "yes, and," active listening and building upon the ideas of others. Our experienced instructors will guide you step-by-step, helping you develop the skills to play in the moment.

Each week focuses on a different aspect of short-form improv, including:

Building trust and support and experiencing "group mind"

Spontaneity, creativity and confidence

Embracing a philosophy of “there are no mistakes in improv”

At the end of the course there will be opportunities to perform on the Flipside stage. Come laugh, learn, and make connections that last far beyond the class.
