Hello book worms and fellow reading fans. I'm thrilled to announce the launch of our very own Floral Roundabout Book Club!
The plan is that meetings will take place at Floral Roundabout, 59 Sidbury, Worcester, WR1 2HU at 6pm on 1st Thursday of the month, starting on Thursday 1st February 2024.
The group is free of charge to attend, and I'm happy to provide tea and coffee, but there will be a St Richards Hospice Collection tin should you wish to donate.
All are welcome to attend- but please RSVP so I can make sure there are enough biscuits!
How it works:
Read the set book beforehand (however if you are part way through and happy to hear spoilers, please feel free to join the discussion). Have a quick think about what you liked or didn’t like about the books and why.
The meeting will start at 6.00pm with some brief introductions around the group and a few words about if you liked the book or not.
We will then raise a topic from the book for discussion or ask a question and then the floor is then open for discussion and will move in the direction the group takes it.
At the end of the discussion we will decide on the book for the next month's read. All books will be fiction and available in paper back.
All views and opinions will always be respected.
PLEASE NOTE - as Floral Roundabout is a florist shop, there is no heating and so dress accordingly! If it's considered too cold, we can decide on a new venue.
