Long Range Rifle Precision Night Shoot & Optional Competition at Okeechobee Shooting Sports!

Here is how it works:
Check-In: 6:30pm
Safety Briefing: 7:00pm
200 Yard Night Shooting Range Open: 7:30 – 11:30pm with 200 yard competition.
0 - 500 Yard Competition Starts: 8:00pm
Night Shoot: All shooters will have the opportunity shoot for 4 hours on the Main Rifle Range (50-200yds). Targets will be placed at known distances 50, 100, 150 and 200 yards. Targets will be lightly illuminated. Hand held subdued flash lights ONLY will be allowed after leaving the staging area (club house). Flashlights must only be used for administrative purposes and NOT for target illumination (NO exceptions). There will be paper targets and steel targets available to shoot. Shoot as much or as little as you want.
Florida Firearms Training Instructors will be on hand to assist and advise on techniques, systems, equipment, etc.
Competition: Shooters will be allowed at least 30 minutes of practice time on the 200 yard range prior to starting the competition. Those wanting to participate in the 0 - 500 yard competition will then proceed to the 500 yard range in groups of 5 where, they will each shoot a total of 20 shots at steel targets ranging from 100 to 500 yards.
All targets will be identified and lightly illuminated. All shots must be taken from prone position within specific time allowances. (If a shooter has physical limitations, accommodations may be made at the discretion of the lead instructor.) Handheld subdued flash lights will be allowed for the competition and only for administrative purposes and NOT for target illumination.
Awards and Prizes will be given for the top shooters
Equipment Needs:
Zeroed, Scoped Rifle capable of accurate fire out to 500 yards.
Ammunition – Quantity at the discretion of the shooter. The competition will require 20 rounds. All Calibers up to and including 300 win mag welcome. No .338 Lapua, 50 BMG, Steel Core, Penetrating, Bi-Metal, Incendiary or Tracer. We will be shooting steel targets over open grassland; and don’t want to damage the targets or start any fires!
