This presentation highlights two complementary studies focused on evaluating tree species for climate-adapted urban landscapes. The first is a controlled greenhouse trial assessing heat stress responses and physiological performance of popular tree species under varying temperatures. The second expands the research to field sites across multiple USDA hardiness zones in Florida, examining survival and growth. Together, these studies aim to inform species selection and landscape management practices that enhance urban tree resilience in a changing climate.
