FSKA PRE-PADDLE SAFETY BRIEFING / REQUIREMENTS OF OUR INSURANCE
- All paddlers must have completed and signed the current calendar year Liability Waiver. (Unless everyone has signed the wavier, nobody will be covered by the club's liability insurance.) Link:

- Monitor weather and water conditions.
- Describe planned paddle route and potential hazards.
- If an emergency call 911 first. On marine radio off shore if available.
- All paddlers must meet Florida State and Coast Guard rules including having an approved PFD in good repair and a sounding device such as a whistle.
- Follow the boating rules of the road.
- Ensure all participants are off the water at the end of the event.
- Prohibited, alcohol or mind altering drug use prior to and during the paddle.
- Adhere to all current U.S. Coast Guard regulations for Coastal and Inland Waterways.
