Full Moon Paddle + lunar eclipse partial

The Sturgeon Moon and partial lunar eclipse is Friday, Aug. 28 at 12:19 a.m. so we will catch Moonrise on Thur. Aug. 27 at 7:44 pm and Sunset at 7:55 pm. You are welcome to stay up until midnight to see the partial eclipse. The plan is to paddle leisurely around the Ortega River from the clubhouse for a total of 2-3 miles to reach the best views. If weather is prohibitive, I will post an announcement by 6:00 pm.

Be on the water ready to paddle by 7:15 pm with life jacket, whistle, and a white light to shine if needed. Head lamps and glow sticks on yourself or boat are also a good idea.

Guests are welcome. A signed waiver is required annually by our insurance provider, PaddleSports Risk Management, Inc., by all members and guests who participate in at least one paddle trip or any event at the SCKC clubhouse.
