Mother's Day is not a single experience. For some of us, it's joyful. For others, it's a day of quiet grief, for a mother who is gone, for a child we lost, for the pregnancy that didn't hold, for the role we wanted and couldn't reach, for the relationship that was never what it should have been.
For some of us, it's all of those things at the same time.
This workshop holds space for the whole of it.
Not the version that belongs on a card. The real one.

This is an art-therapy inspired session open to anyone who wants to make something from what this time of year stirs up, without having to name it, explain it, or resolve it.
We'll use art making and simple reflective prompts.
You bring whatever materials feel right. This isn't about making beautiful art. It's about making honest art.

Who is this for?
Anyone who has a relationship (however complicated) with the word "mother." Whether you are a mother, had one, lost one, longed to be one, chose not to be one, or are still figuring out what that word means in your life, you are welcome here, exactly as you are.
