One week before Halloween, Lisbon begins filling with visible masks. This workshop turns our attention towards the quieter ones we carry every day.
The versions of ourselves we show at work, in relationships, with family, or in unfamiliar spaces are not necessarily false. Some help us belong. Some protect us. Others may have become heavier than we realised.
The Mask & the Mirror is a two-hour mindful art workshop inviting you to explore these different parts of yourself through painting, reflection, and creative expression.
We’ll begin with a guided grounding practice before each participant receives a white mask to transform using paint, colour, symbols, words, and intuitive marks.
No artistic experience is required. This is not an art class, and there is no correct way for your mask to look. You decide what your artwork means, what you share, and what remains private.
You’ll leave with your painted mask, a personal reflection to carry forward, and perhaps a clearer view of the different parts of yourself that move through the world.
