## Help shape the future of Brushy Creek 🤩💖

Community members, landowners, local officials, agricultural producers, businesses, and other interested stakeholders are invited to participate in upcoming meetings for the development of the Brushy Creek Watershed Protection Plan (WPP).
The Texas Water Resources Institute, TWRI, invites Brushy Creek area community members to two stakeholder meetings that will be held next week in different portions of the watershed.
The Round Rock Stakeholder Meeting will take place on Wednesday, June 24th, 2026 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at 3400 Sunrise Rd, Round Rock, TX 78665
Discussion topics will include watershed conditions, recent water quality findings, and potential pollutant sources within the Brushy Creek watershed.

The Brushy Creek Watershed Protection Plan is a voluntary, stakeholder-driven effort focused on identifying water quality concerns and developing locally supported strategies to protect and improve watershed health. Public participation and local input are critical components of the watershed planning process.
“Community input gives us real insight into what is happening in the watershed,” said Sarah Stannard, watershed coordinator with TWRI. “This meeting is a chance for residents and local organizations to share their experiences and help guide the future of Brushy Creek.”
Through watershed planning, research, and public education programs, TWRI helps communities protect and improve the quality of Texas water resources. TWRI is a unit of Texas A&M AgriLife Research that brings together expertise from across The Texas A&M University System.
