Flying Solo is an inspirational concept for single people in London. We are a social group for single people. We arrange social gatherings, networking, mingles, meals and parties for our members to meet up, make new friends, have fun and have a great time.
FS45+ is the sister group of the main 'Flying Solo' group. Its a unique concept for those 45+ aged single people who enjoy a different environment to our main group, Flying Solo (www.flyingsoloevents.co.uk). From experience, I've noticed that different age groups/different generations enjoy different types of nights out, different music and different settings, so have created a meetup group which is more specific to their needs. If you are single, 45+ (ish) and like to socialise and meet people, and find a lot of your mates don't go out because they are married/partnered up, not available due to childcare commitments, are always skint or just can't be bothered to go out, or you haven't got a 'significant other' that wants to take part in fun activities, then this is the group for you.
We arrange nights out at convenient venues where people can get involved in fun activities with a social aspect so that people can get to know each other in a relaxed, non pressurised environment. It is for people who like to socialise but do not want to be patronised or pressured into thinking that they must meet someone or be the life and soul of the party (if you want to be though that's fine too!). The aim is to have a good time, meet people, make new friends, build social confidence and have an enjoyable evening with others who are in the same boat.
We're a social group for single people, the focus of our group is to get out and about, meet other people in a relaxed, sociable setting, and have a good time! We do not do any introduction games, any awkward Male/Female introductions or make anyone feel in any way under pressure or as if they must meet someone. We want to raise the profile of singles and we reflect this in our events. All events are hosted, and well organised. We appreciate that meeting new people can be very nervewracking so we our members do everything they can to make you feel welcome and relaxed, So if you're stuck in on a night and you want to do something with like minded people and not feel like a sad desperado, get yourself involved!
Our 'sister group' is Flying Solo which is for all ages (all welcome) and has been running since Novmber 2012, please check out past events, reviews and pics for an idea of what is on offer and if you want to attend more regular events....www.flyingsoloevents.co.uk. As a member of the FS45+ group you will also be invited to our once a month Flying Solo 'ALL AGES' party. This event is really popular with up to 200 attendees, lively, busy with a more youthful age range but still a large amount of our 45s+ attend.
