What we’re about
The Young(er) Professionals Group at The United Church is an inter-organizational, open-edged network of students, interns, and early-mid career professionals in the greater Washington DC area who are interested in meaningful connections based in fellowship, learning, and service. The group originates at the intersection of various local German affiliated organizations and the German Ministry at TUC, and is open and welcoming to all that want to participate in the multicultural life and community found at the corner of 20th and G streets and its surrounding neighborhoods.
The Young(er) Professionals Group aims to organize informal opportunities for socializing, learning, and serving by partnering and communicating with its network of organizations to engage students, interns, and young professionals seeking to find home and community during their time in Washington, DC; however long or short that time may be. Activities may take the form of day hikes, city tours, language meetups, reading groups, community cleanups, potluck brunches, movie nights, etc.
