What we’re about
Have you thought that the fairytales we read as children, or watch in a Disney movie, have a depth to them beyond simply a fun story for kids? What if they are as important to our civilization as water? This book club and discussion group is for all those who feel a sense of meaning and are touched by the classic stories throughout history.
We read and discuss the tales as old as time, stories that use archetypes, symbolism, themes, and allegories to answer life's more pressing questions. Whether it be C.S. Lewis, Tolkein, Brothers Grimm, Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell, The Bible stories, Harry Potter, Greek, Nordic, or Babylonian Mythology.
Whether you're a seasoned literature enthusiast or simply curious about the power of storytelling, this group is perfect for anyone with a love for literature, history, anthropology, cultures, psychology and philosophy. Let's read and discuss in a cozy(think old library with classical music playing) setting, with an open mind, a kind heart, and the beverage of your choice (coffee, tea, or something stronger)
