Asian Foodie Crawl Sawtelle Blvd Japantown - FIRM Date & Time, It's Happening!

It's happening! Firm date and time. Starts Sunday, June 2 @ 10:30am.

Estimated end time is 4:30pm, depending upon if we go for sushi or not after the ramen and curry restaurants.

We will sample (share family style) their signature dish, Chashu Tsukemen and also a different bowl of their famous ramen.

We will be tasting a little in each restaurant, not filling up, leaving room for the next part of our food crawl.

We will sample their Curry Ramen and also Curry Rice Plus an appetizer or 2.
Proteins will be chashu pork & karaage chicken (not a lot of choices)

Beverages are extra, to be paid by each diner.

Menya Tigre also does not take reservations so we will wait and talk to each other.

If there is enough time, and there should be, our 3rd stop will be for Sushi, either Hide Sushi or Kura Revolving Bar Sushi, both on Sawtelle too.

No food restrictions ie vegetarian, gluten-free, food allergies, etc.
Many of the dishes will have pork and some shrimp.

We will all share both the food and the cost equally. Everyone splits the cost, whether you eat everything or not. There will be plenty of food. Nobody will go hungry. LOL

I cannot emphasize enough that we are NOT having 3 lunches but rather, a sampling at each of the 3 restaurants.

The estimated cost for Tsujita LA Artisan Noodles and Menya Tigre is $40 but please bring $50 and more for beverages. It is better to have too much than to be caught short. I will not take venmo, zelle or paypal.

If you plan on going for sushi then the guesstimate is $100 total for the 3 restaurants and bring $125 just in case. Again, it is better to have too much cash than not enough.

Cash only, no credit cards, no separate checks except each smaller table will have one check for the one table. We may not be able to all sit together at one large table. No venmo, no zelle, no paypal.

This food crawl will be approximately 4 hours, til 2:30pm.

Suggested parking is the City of LA Lot on Idaho and Sawtelle, a little south of Santa Monica Blvd. A few blocks to walk but you avoid the gridlock of Sawtelle Japantown. Carpooling is encouraged. Also, Uber or Lyft (sharing?).

This awesome Sawtelle food crawl is being listed with both LA Foodies and sister meetup group LA Asian Foodies so we will have a perfect amount of people to optimize our pleasure.

At least 24 to 48 hours notice if you must cancel. No plus ones for new members as we have had too many problems with no shows.
