We are going to the original, flagship Simpang Asia after 4 successful dinners at their newer Venice location. This National Blvd location has a larger menu including several fish dishes.

Simpang Asia is primarily Indonesian with fusion incorporating:
Malaysian,
Singaporean,
Indian, and
Chinese influences.
Halal.
The menu is exciting. Vegetarian friendly. 3 or 4 vegan dishes.

gado-gado salad w peanut dressing etc
laksa seafood noodle soup (shrimp,squid,fish ball,tofu etc)

2 oxtail soups
salmon curry
grilled & fried fish
seafood garlic noodles (shrimp,calamari,fish ball)

Family style. We will share the food. Please no dietary restrictions
like vegetarian, keto, gluten free, etc.
The event organizer will order the family style food with the input of everyone so we can have a balanced, authentic Indonesian dinner.
Estimated cost $40
To be on the safe side, please bring at last $60 in cash.
Extra for beverages. It is better to have too much than too little. It will probably be less.
Small bills to make settling the bill easiest. NOT all 20s please. Only one $20/higher bill, the rest in small bills.
NO credit cards, NO separate checks. No takeout on your own when we order. You may order your takeout after so there will be no confusion.
If you must cancel, at least 48 hours notice is requested so foodies on the wait list can make arrangements.
