Usher in Labor Day this year with a memorable meal at Panzanella in Sherman Oaks. This lovely restaurant features such traditional Italian specialties as carpaccio, fettuccine bolognese, and -- my favorite -- linguine all vongole (that's linguine with white clam sauce for you Americans). Basic Italian comfort food, yes, but the quality of the ingredients and service and the attention to detail are what make this place really special (and the prices reflect that, be prepared!) Panzanella is the Valley outpost of the Drago family, renowned for its wonderful Italian restaurants throughout Los Angeles. This will be a truly special way to commemorate the end of summer.
