This is one of the most highly-rated Hunan Cuisine in DFW, by far! Oh how I love Chinese Food! I think a trip to China is in my future?What is special about Hunan?
- Fresh chili heat rather than just numb spice
- Garlic, ginger, scallions, and fermented ingredients
- Smoked, cured, or stir-fried meats
- Lots of oil, deep flavor, and strong seasoning
- A balance of spicy, sour, salty, and earthy
The biggest difference from other Chinese cuisines is that Hunan food is usually hotter, more direct, and less sweet.
