Family-run restaurant with four locations — and they clearly know what they’re doing. The appetizers are delicious, and the table-side shrimp cocktail is a really nice touch. For starters, the gumbo and roasted poblano cream soup are at the top of the list.

The beer-battered cod stands out — you’ll see it on a lot of tables. It’s a huge three-piece portion served with coleslaw and fried potatoes.

From the Traditional Seafood section, the Texas Gulf brown shrimp with coleslaw, hush puppies, and French fries is another great choice.
