🐘🦁 Join us for a fun group trip to the North Carolina Zoo on Sunday, May 3, 2026!

We’ll be heading from Charlotte to Asheboro for a full day of exploring one of the largest natural habitat zoos in the world.

⏰ Arrival Plan
We’ll meet at the zoo at 8:45 AM to gather, get organized, and head in together right when the gates open at 9:00 AM.

🦒 Game Plan
Our first stop will be the Africa section, where animals tend to be most active in the cooler morning hours—perfect for spotting elephants, giraffes, lions, and more! From there, we’ll explore the rest of the park at our own pace.

🌿 About the Zoo
The North Carolina Zoo is known for its massive, natural enclosures that allow animals to roam in environments designed to feel like the wild. With expansive Africa and North America regions, scenic walking trails, and a strong focus on conservation, it offers a unique, park-like experience.

🚗 Travel Info
We’ll be driving from Charlotte and meeting at the zoo entrance. It’s about a 1 hour 30 minute drive, so please plan your departure time accordingly. As the date gets closer, we’ll coordinate carpool options for anyone interested.

🎒 What to Bring
Comfortable walking shoes, water, sunscreen, and your sense of adventure!

Looking forward to an amazing day together! 🌞🐾
