FA Cup: Manchester United v Brighton & Hove Albion

This weekend sees the 3rd Round of the 2025/26 FA Cup. Significantly as it is the first round to include Premier League and EFL Championship teams. The pick of the fixtures - a newly even more chaotic Manchester United hosting Brighton & Hove Albion in an all-Premier League match-up.

This match is the 37th competitive contest between the two. United have won 22, Brighton have won 9, and 5 have been drawn. More recently, though, Brighton have beaten United four times in the last six, and two of those were at Old Trafford. The two also faced each other in the FA Cup semi-final back in 2023 when United went through on penalties after a 0-0 game.

United have won the FA Cup 13 times, mostly recently in the 2-23/24 season. They have also appeared in a record 22 FA Cup Finals.

Brighton's best success in the FA Cup came back in 1982/83 when they were runner-up, losing in their only final appearance.
