The North London Derby
Details
Back to Premier League action this weekend after a break for the FA Cup fourth round. The pick of the fixtures is the North London Derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.
This is the 213th North London Derby in competitive competitions. Arsenal have won 90 times, Spurs won 67 of them, and the remaining 55 finished all square.
It has not been the hoped-for bounce-back season for Tottenham. Manager Thomas Frank was brought in to bring better days, but with Spurs in 16th position, he has been removed from the role since we last saw them and has been replaced by Igor Tudor for the remainder of the season, who most recently managed Juventus, hoping to steady the ship.
Arsenal are currently top of the Premier League table. The Gunners have not finished on top since 2003, a point they've been working on rectifying in the past few seasons, getting closer and closer. The experienced winners, Manchester City, are just 5 points behind with a game remaining, and the two sides are due to clash again between now and the end. Arsenal are under increasing pressure to make this season count.
Neither of these bitter local rivals will want to drop any points in their very different plights, made especially important not to drop points against their most heated nemesis. We'll be meeting at Hawk & Griffin to see how this one shakes out - Join Us!
