# Welcome to Foothill Couples – 40+ Social Club!

Hi! We're so glad you found us!
We're a fun, friendly social club for couples ages 40+ who enjoy meeting new people, making lasting friendships, and sharing great experiences together!
Most of our events take place in Placer and El Dorado counties and the greater Sacramento foothills, but we welcome couples from surrounding areas who are happy to make the drive to join in the fun.
We're a casual, down-to-earth group of couples who enjoy good conversation, laughter, and new experiences. You don't need to be a wine enthusiast, an avid hiker, or a world traveler—just enjoy meeting people and having fun!

We enjoy a wide variety of activities, including:

🍽️ Dining out, happy hours, and cooking classes
🍷 Wine, beer, and spirits tastings
🎶 Live music, concerts, and entertainment
🎭 Local festivals, cultural events, and theater
🥾 Hiking, outdoor adventures, and day trips
✈️ Weekend getaways and group travel
🎉 And anything else that sounds like fun!

We're always open to new ideas and suggestions from our members!

### ❤️ A Few Things to Know

Couples Only: Our group is designed for couples who enjoy socializing and participating in activities together. Both partners should be age 40 or older.
RSVPs: When signing up for an event, please remember to include your partner as your +1 guest so we have an accurate headcount.
Participation: We encourage everyone to join us whenever they can! Whether you're attending your first event or have been a member for years, you'll find a welcoming atmosphere. The more you participate, the more opportunities you'll have to build friendships and feel part of our community.

### 📅 Cancellation & No-Show Policy

We understand that plans sometimes change! However, many of our events require advance reservations, and last-minute cancellations can affect the entire group.
To help keep things fair and enjoyable for everyone:

24-Hour Cancellation Notice: If you can't attend an event, please update your RSVP at least 24 hours in advance so another couple may have the opportunity to attend.
Late Cancellations: Members who cancel within 24 hours of an event requiring reservations are required to contribute $20 to the Foothill Couples Fund, which helps support group activities and expenses.
No-Shows: Members who accumulate three no-shows may be removed from the group at the organizer's discretion.
