👥 About our speaker:

Scott Levitt, Esq. brings a one-of-a-kind perspective to real estate — blending decades of experience as a real estate attorney, developer, general contractor, and investor. As the founder of his own law firm since 2012 and former General Counsel for a mid-sized development and construction company, Scott has advised hundreds of clients on corporate formation, contract negotiation, and dispute resolution, with a focus on helping businesses and investors avoid costly litigation.

His deep background in real estate development, construction law, and land use dates back to 1997 as a senior accountant and finance manager of a real estate development company, prior to becoming an attorney, giving him a rare dual insight into both the legal and practical sides of building. Scott has also taught at the Business School and Law School at Chapman University, Cal Poly Pomona, and Cerritos College, and led MCLE courses on construction and mechanic’s lien law.
Scott holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Business Law and Economics and a Juris Doctorate with an emphasis in Real Estate, Land Use, and Environmental Law, both from Chapman University School of Law, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class and served as class commencement speaker, as well as a MBA from CSULB.
