Join us at Kezar Pub for the Japanese Grand Prix LIVE from the legendary Suzuka Circuit this Saturday at 10pm. Pre-race coverage begins at 9p, food and drink served, and all are welcome.

Kezar's sister bar, Mad Dog in The Fog (map), is a <10 minute walk from Kezar Pub and will also be showing the race.

A narrow and proper 'old school' circuit, Suzuka is a very technical track where a good flow is required because most corners are interconnected. Unforgiving of mistakes, one missed corner here can compound lost time over the next series of turns. Most of the 3.6 mile lap is spent with some lateral g-force going through the car, and the sustained energy loads through the tires are some of the highest all season. Teams will be keeping an eye out as wet weather looks like it will be a factor over the course of the weekend.

With just 3/4 mile of a lap spent driving in a straight line, Suzuka is the only track other than Monaco to feature just one DRS zone. 130R is one of F1's quickest corners, taken at over 175 mph, while Turn 11 is one of the slowest, at just 45 mph.

Due to the 16-hour time difference, the race will start Saturday evening, with live pre-race coverage beginning at 9p. Our last Saturday night race from Australia broke all previous attendance records, so come early for your seat, indoors or outdoors, as we expect this to be a full and very friendly house for our 354th (!) watch party and the largest gathering of F1 fans on the West Coast.

We look forward to seeing you at the races, give us a follow on Instagram here or twitter here to stay in the loop throughout the season.
