About us
Heruka Kadampa Meditation Center is a center of Buddhist study and meditation, as well as a spiritual community, in Fort Collins, serving Northern Colorado and Wyoming. We are a non-profit, volunteer-run organization, established locally in 1999 to benefit society through providing Buddhist methods for finding inner peace and spiritual fulfillment.
Everyone is welcome to drop into our weekly classes which introduce authentic Buddhist view and meditation, according to the New Kadampa Tradition of Buddhism. We also offer meditation retreats, group chanted prayers and meditation, in-depth study programs and other events that cater to people at all levels, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners.
Heruka KMC’s classes, retreats and programs present Buddha’s teachings in an authentic and accessible manner that can easily be integrated into busy modern life, based on the books of our Founder, the contemporary Buddhist master Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, and the lineage of Kadampa Buddhist masters.
Our location at Harvard and McClelland is right in the middle of Fort Collins, one block west of College Ave just south of West Drake Road, and also easily accessible by public transit along the Max Bus Rapid Transit route. We have a large parking lot just off of McClelland Drive.

6:15-7pm Meditation & Dharma TalkJoin us for a different kind of Friday Night Happy Hour where we'll gather together in community to unwind from the work week, mingle with new friends, eat some delicious finger foods, and kick off our weekend with a relaxing meditation to put us in a positive frame of mind.
Our topic for this Food for Thought gathering is "When to Say Something ... or Not." When faced with having difficult conversations, we may try to avoid them, repress our true feelings, or lash out in anger... or all of the above! Ultimately, these approaches won't lead to good results.
With Buddha's wisdom, we can develop the skill we need to deal with prickly people and tricky situations. We can learn how to navigate even the most challenging interactions calmly and wisely, and how to speak with clarity and compassion.
Everyone welcome. Bring a friend!Pre-registration is appreciated so the organizers know how much food to prepare.
This is a vegetarian alcohol-free evening.### Special 2 for $20 Deal!
