Telegraph Creek (One of the Best)

Details
Telegraph Creek is one of the nicest paddles we have in Southwest Florida. (Although I have not paddled it since the hurricanes.)
We will put in at Franklin Lock and Dam (South side of the river, left, west, downstream, side of the dam) -- see the maps below. Then cross the river and paddle up Telegraph Creek for about 2-hours, and come back the same, the only, way.
While we will have to cross the river, and paddle about 3/4-mile on it, our crossing will by the lock, so we won't have to be concerned about large boat traffic (any will be stopped and waiting for the lock).
There could be some small(?) wind waves on the river; the wind forecast is about 5 mph from the east.
This paddle should be suitable for all levels of ability, but will be about 4-hours duration. Any style of kayak should be OK, but long sea kayaks may be at a disadvantage in the creek.
There are NO rental boats available nearby.
Parking, restrooms (only ones we will see), and launching in the lock park are all free.
Please be on the water ready to go at 10 AM. For some of us it will be a long drive. We all thank you for your consideration.
I will be recognizable at the beach or on the water just off it by my "Signature orange shirt."
Bring life jacket, water and insect & sun protection, maybe a snack. Oh, and a camera!
Lunch possibilities: bring your own picnic, or sandwiches at The Olga Mall, https://fostersuzanne.wixsite.com/website
