Fox Valley Agnostics, Atheists & Freethinkers

This group is for anyone who has an interest in meeting with other people who are interested in discussing secularism, atheism, humanism, free thinking and so on. We started this group because we feel it is important for people who do not have or believe in religion or god to get together with other like minded individuals. Our goal for the group is to get discussions going on current events and issues facing nontheists. We also want to build a resource for people who want to learn more about these subjects. It will also be a place where people can go to get support who are facing difficulties in telling their loved ones about their views and are ostracized by other groups. Lastly we feel that it is our duty to organize and contribute to positive change in the world around us. Positive change could be anything from finding ways to remove stereotypes about atheists to building capital to lobby for positive changes to the American legal system. The only requirement is an open mind.
