For your riding pleasure NoVA CBG presents A Koffee Klatch Tour DC Tulip Exploration Ride.

Netherlands Carillon

Navy & Marine Memorial
The Floral Library
Enid A Haupt Garden
Mary Livingston Ripley Gardens
Smithsonian Gardens

The route starts at the South Bluemont (Playground & Disc Golf) Parking Area, goes up Bluemont Jct and over Fairfax Drive to Clarendon Blvd. After that we are sort of meandering between tulip sites. Be prepared to walk your bike through the various gardens and possibly where there may be crowds of tourists. From the Capitol we will loop to take the Pennsylvania Ave bike lane turning left at 13th ST NW to the Timgad Café at mile 13.1. We then take Memorial Bridge up the Rte 50 Trail to Pershing and work our way to the W&OD

An RSVP of 'YES' is your digital signature and means you have read and understood MEETUP.com's:
* "Terms of Service : Section 6. Release " found at https://www.meetup.com/terms/
* NOVA-CBG's "Assumption of Risk Agreement" found @ https://www.meetup.com/novacbg/pages/1942951/NOVA-CBG_Waiver/
* NoVA CBG's "COVID Policy" found @ http://bit.ly/2021_NoVACBG_COVID19_POLICY
Helmets are required to participate in all NOVA-CBG rides. NO exceptions. All riders ride at their own risk and with the understanding that cycling is an inherently dangerous activity. When coming to the meetup you do so voluntarily and are ready and able to participate in the ride as described under the conditions of the day.
Be on time for the "pre-ride" preparation. If you do not attend the pre-ride preparation you will not be allowed to participate on the ride. Again, no exceptions.

Tour of Brothers Drake Meadery and mead/tea tasting
Join us for a tour of Brothers Drake Meadery in Grandview, hosted by the owner Oron Benary. He will explain the mead-making process and offer us generous samples of their fine meads.
Mead is basically wine that is made from honey instead of grapes. There are many different flavors that range from dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet, to sweet. They are best known for their Apple Pie Mead.
Oron has offered us a special price of 5.00 each person for the tour and tasting, which is normally 25.00 per person. I've taken the tour several times, and it's always enlightening and fun.
Rebecca will bring a tea that will pair well with the mead for a tea tasting afterwards.
Park anywhere around the building. Please avoid parking in front of the houses in the neighborhood behind the Meadery.
Please keep your RSVP current. Knowing how many will attend will help Brothers Drake plan accordingly to accommodate us.
