**ISLINGTON EDGES.**............Brand new for 2025 On this tour we touch various parts of London from Islington to Camden, from Kings Cross to Bloomsbury from Clerkenwell to Angel. But central to it all is Islington so why not call it Islington edges ! London at its best with a complete mixture of subjects, from the death of a clown to a man made river, from a South African hero to Bob Dylan As usual there are blue plaques in abundance and a personal story that takes me back to my very early youth. Its a circular walk from Kings cross and back again taking over two hours but in that time we meet lots of the sort of characters and visit various places that helped make London the city we all love.

This seminar is for improving your communication skills, so you can achieve greater success in life. We will especially focus on a life tool that you can easily learn and use to improve your: - \- Interviews \- Public speaking \- Communication with strangers \- Connection with co\-workers \- Comfort with various social situations\. \- Handling upsets \- Getting along with others better\. \- Meeting new people\. This seminar invites your feedback and input. You could learn some new skills and we would love for you to be able to practice this also. This is an inclusive and welcoming meetup. The core of this meetup is to foster a collaborative environment where participants playtest board games and offer constructive feedback to fellow designers. Bringing a design or prototype is not a requirement, this event is for anyone passionate about games—whether they're a designer, developer, playtester, or simply someone who loves engaging with creative ideas. **The Talbot Room at the George Inn** The George provides the room free of charge (they are awesome), and we encourage you to purchase drinks (and food – the burgers are great!). As it’s a pub and not a picnic area, please don’t consume your own food and drink there. We usually meet in the Talbot room which is on the top floor on the left hand side of the pub as viewed from the courtyard. If lost please send a message here shortly before the meeting starts. **We are sorry to say that there is no step-free access to the Talbot room, and it is at the end of three flights of stairs.** **Format** We start at 7pm and run until 9pm. We hear approximately six readings of 10 minutes (\~2000 words), then discuss the piece for 10 minutes. Email your work to: london60transmitter@emailitin.com as an attachment (It must be an attachment). A link for access to googledocs will be given at the start of each session to enable people to read along, which in turn enables more considered feedback. Work submitted will be automatically deleted after 10 days. We decide on readers/pieces at the beginning of each session. **Safe and respectful space** The group is run by volunteers, and we don’t have the capacity to read submitted work in advance. If there is anything in your work that might distress or disturb some readers, for example concerning any kind of abuse, please give a trigger warning before you read. Be specific and concise. If it becomes apparent during a reading that a piece is inappropriate, the moderator will stop the reading. In discussing others’ work, please be mindful of how you express yourself and do not use discriminatory language, even if such language features in the piece.

Another shorter walk this week because I'm sure many will want to get home to see Arsenal in the cup final. I'm aiming to be at the pub by around 2pm. We're meeting at Grange Hill Station at 11am (directions below). We will be gone by 11.10am, so please don't be late. We can only wait longer if its due to circumstances genuinely beyond your control. When we finish at the (optional) Monkhams pub, we are still on the same link-line we started on (we're now at Roding Valley). I'll be hopping two stations back to Grange Hill after the pub. Woodford & Buckhurst Hill stations are also within walking distance, or by a short bus ride in either direction on the W14. The W14 will also go beyond those stations in both directions, and the 275 or 167 buses are within easy reach too. **The Meet Point:** If you are driving to the meet point, there are plenty of places to park all around Grange Hill Station. If you are coming by bus, the 462 goes to Grange Hill via Ilford Station, Gants Hill Station, Barkingside High St, & Fairlop Station. The 362 goes from Goodmayes to Grange Hill via Chadwell Heath and The City Pavilion **(where it meets the 247 from Romford).** Please check times as the 362's are only every 30 minutes **If you're coming on the Central Line, Grange Hill is on the link-line from Woodford to Hainault & vice-versa. Trains are every 20 minutes in either direction. Please note that this line runs independently of the main Epping and Hainault lines, as it bridges between the two of them.** Trains depart from Woodford at 10.15am and 10.35am.
