Maximizing Key Components of Scrum

Scrum is a popular approach to software development. However, it is often misunderstood and misused. We will go into the key pieces of the Scrum approach. Our talk will include roles, rituals, and expected outcomes.

Presenter Bio:
Rob Broadhead is a seasoned developer and technologist. His background includes 30+ years of design, development, and architecture. His roles include staff developer, development director, architect, database administrator, and many others.

Rob founded RB Consulting in 2001 as a software development and implementation company whose primary focus is helping customers create well-designed project plans and navigate the vast sea
of technology. There is also a software development wing of the company and implementation consulting.

Rob received his MBA at the University of Phoenix. He holds a BS in Computer Science from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Rob has written and published a semi-biographical book, e-books, and a book on software development careers. Rob also has a podcast called "The Building Better Developers/Develpreneur" and is a regular contributor to Develpreneur. Rob enjoys talking off-topic and is always ready to get lost in conversations about ice hockey, ballroom dancing, music, or his experiences raising strong-willed children.

Directions:
Our Meetup location is in the Williamson, Inc. offices, not far from the McEwen exit off Highway 65. Take McEwen (west) and turn right on Aspen Grove Dr. Park in the garage behind the building (4000 Rush Street). Take the elevators to the 6th floor. When exiting, head towards the Capwealth offices and turn right down the hallway to Suite 630. Look for Williamson, Inc. offices, where our Meetup will be held.
